Today is a historic day. The 44th president of the United States of America has taken the oath of office. On this day, I am reminded that we need to pray for our country and our leaders. It doesn't matter if you voted for him or not, we still need to pray for him. After all he will be leading our country and that's a big job. So, I urge you to pray for Barack Obama and our country. In these very uncertain times, the country needs our prayers.
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. --I Timothy 2:1-2

Amen!
You are so right. Obama was not my candidate, but as an American, he IS my president. I'm praying good things can happen under his leadership.
