Carolina Pad Review & Giveaway

08 October 2009
I have a confession; I'm a school supply junkie. Nothing makes me happier than those wonderful sales when it's time to return to school. New pens, pencils, markers, woo hoo! And then there is my true love, the binders, planners, dividers, and all the other products that I am completely convinced will help get me organized. I seriously buy quite a bit of these products because I am on a constant quest for organization. The problem is that 1) thirty year old women should not have binders that sport Hannah Montana's face and 2) student planners do not work real well for mommies. So, when I was given the opportunity to do a review of Carolina Pad's products I was thrilled! This is what I was given from their Hot Chocolate Collection to review:

1-subject notebook

Ideal Book

Personal Book

3-ring binder

Tab dividers

File Folders

13-pocket expandable folder

Coupon expandable folder

19-month planner

Stick-on notes/flags

My first impression was that these products are so adorable. They work for kiddos as well as grown ups, featuring trendy designs and bright colors. Ashley quickly claimed the dividers for school use, as well as the coupon expandable folder for keeping her flash cards organized. As she was running off with her goodies, I was immediately setting up my planner; no more "class schedule" back to school student planners for this mama! I love the way the planner is organized, it is a joy to use. I've since put the expandable folder t good use and wonder how I ever lived without it! Oh, and the stick on note! They are handy for some many things from reminder notes to bookmarks! I can't even tell you how many ways I've used those. Miss Ashley and I are still debating over who gets what as far as the rest of the items. I think I passed on my love of all stationary/organizational products.

The verdict? These products are cute and practical. Plus, they are good quality products that are reasonably priced. They help you to get more organized and look good doing it. Carolina Pad products are great for at school or at home, and have many great uses. I've gotten more organized thanks to them. Ashley has the cutest dividers in her class. We say they get two thumbs up. You might want to click over and check Carolina Pad out for yourself.

How would you like to have some of these awesome products for yourself? One lucky winner will receive a set of products just like the ones I was given to review (MSRP approximately $38). Yep, all that stuff listed above!

Project of the Week

01 September 2009
Well, here we are on week two of the new school year. The kids seem to like it well enough, something I am very grateful for. We are still trying to settle into a riutine and have not quite gotten it down yet. Hopefully we will get in the groove soon.

I am struggling with time management, as I seem to have tons to do and not enough hours in the day. I do not want to disappoint people, so my answers to everyone who asks something of me lately has been yes. It doesn't matter if it's Dan, the kids, the neighbor, bloggy friends, I just say yes and try to find a way to squeeze it all in. I wouldn't say I am overwhelmed, I enjoy everything I do, I just wish the family would realize that moms need breaks too.

This week's project is the room of doom. This is a small, long & narrow room attatched to the back of our bedroom. One day we hope it will be a master bath/la

undry room/closet, but for now it is where everything goes when it doesn't have it's own place. This room scares me. I like to keep the door shut and pretend it isn't there. I may post before and after pics, but right at the moment I'd hate for y'all to see it. The pic here isn't it, but you get the idea. Anyway, Dan is off tomorrow and our goal is to clean this room out and make it usable work space for mama. I hope we get it done. I need more work space and places to organize all my stuff. My current method is to make a zillion piles on the desk, on my vanity, on chairs, etc... I'm sure you can a imagine how user friendly my piling system is. So, tomorrow we start the big dreaded tackle of the room. Wish me luck!

What do you have going on this week?
