Going Batty

24 September 2008
DH is asleep early for the first time in over a week. I had been asleep, but he woke me when he came to bed. So, I am laying there, tossing and turning trying to get back to sleep. Then it happens...I hear wings flapping. A bat is flying around our bedroom. At first I'm sure I've imagined it, but then I see something flying above the bed. I wake DH who belly aches that I've woken him, turns over, and tells me to take care of it. Nice. So, I hunt all over the house with a broom, having no clue what I'll do when I find the little beast. Our attic hatch is uncovered, so I assume that's where he came from. And it must be where he's hiding, as I can't find him anywhere. Why can't he just stay outside and eat mosquitoes? So, I'm up for the night looks like. I cannot sleep now, I keep thinking about him flying above us all. Icky!

Ugh we had a bat in the house when I was a kid. My dad told me they only eat veggies. So I left out my lima beans to catch him :P
