Thankful Thursday

11 September 2008

I have so much to be thankful for today, as I do everyday. So, here are some of the many things that I am thankful for today.

  • I am so thankful to be living in this great country. I am also thankful for those who serve in our military, keeping us at home safe and our country free.

  • I am thankful that my stepfather has found a job! He called me and we were both so excited, we were yelling!

  • I am thankful for my amazing husband, Dan. We've had sort of a rough week. But, he loves me despite of all my "stuff". He comes home to me and our family every night, a fact I will no longer take for granted as I know there are those who don't have this. He loves our kids, our family, and finds joy in being with us. The love I feel for him just cannot be put into words. I am so blessed to have him in my life!

  • I am thankful for my amazing neighbors, John, Lenore, Denea, and Grandma Marge. These are some crazy, awesome, fantastic, loving folks! They are a blast to hang out with, will share their wisdom with you, let you cry on their shoulder, make you laugh, are always there for you, and always seem to know when you really need a cup of coffee. The four of us are blessed to have them in our life. I am so thankful that we made a home near such great folks. It was like finding family living across the street.

  • I am thankful that Ashley seems to be at least giving school a chance. It was making me so sad that my "scholar" was miserable starting at a new school. I pray that she will continue to have positive experiences at school and will eventually feel at home here.

Those are just a few of the many things I am thankful for today. Check out Sting My Heart for more Thankful Thursday posts.

So what did I do to ever deserve a friend and neighbor like you. Thank you so very very much!
