Final Thoughts On Yoursphere

19 June 2010

The Yoursphere Test Drive campaign has come to an end and I wanted to share my final thoughts. Both my children seemed to enjoy Yoursphere quite a bit. I like that I can monitor what my children are doing on this social networking site and know that they are in a safe environment. The verification process to join Yoursphere ensures that everyone is who they claim to be, something you don't find on other social networking sites. As a mom, I truly appreciate a safe, child friendly online environment. It has allowed my kids to explore social networking without me constantly worrying about the dangers lurking online. I couldn't be more pleased.

My 10 year old daughter seemed to enjoy the social networking side of things the most. She lost herself in spheres focused on everything from kittens, to books, to the Twilight movies. Ashley spent a lot of time interacting with others through the spheres. She seemed to really enjoy making friends who shared her interests. Honestly, Ashley spent more time on the site, it just seemed to hold her interests more son than it did her brother's.

My 13 year old son was not as interested in social networking. He was all about the contests and OurWorld. Once he found OurWorld that was is pretty much all he did on the site. He spent hours playing and fixing up his condo. But, he does have a few friends he interacts with on site and seems to enjoy communicating with them. When I asked his official opinion, he told me Yoursphere is "pretty cool".

So, my family gives Yoursphere two thumbs up! Just a reminder, Yoursphere is completely free to use. If you and your kiddos would like to check it out for yourselves, please sign up with code: YSMC-0049 and let them know Ramblings of a Texas Housewife sent you. I wrote this review while participating in the Yoursphere Test Drive program by Mom Central on behalf of Yoursphere. I received a free lifetime Gold membership on Yoursphere.com, Yoursphere t-shirts, and a $50 American Express gift card to facilitate my review.
